We had a great time with Math on Friday. We participated in math stations with activities based on probability.

We used number cubes to find the most/least likely outcomes and to find out whose "horse" wonn the race.....

We determined the probability of winning/losing at heads v. tails.....

We found the probability of winning/losing at Rock/Paper/Scissors.....

Math is GREAT fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Day For Up

It was a "Great Day for Up" in room 215 today! We had several children dressed "to the nines" as they walked through our hallways today!

It's great fun to celebrate Dr. Seuss and all he has done for reading.....even if you're celebrating in front of a class of 3rd graders wearing a formal gown and silver high heels!

Fair vs. Unfair

Yesterday we worked on determining fair/unfair, probability and chances. With questions like, "Is it certain or impossible that we will have Math today?" and "Is it certain or impossible that a pink elephant will fall from the sky?" we learned about chances.

What are the chances that someone out there had as much fun in math class as we did yesterday? I think it would be "unlikely"!

Finally catching up

I will soon (tomorrow) be catching up in math to the point where I can do some of the awesome activities Brandy has been doing. We will be working on Probability soon. My students are really missing Math centers. Maybe tomorrow.........
